That was (and I think its funny I'm referencing him) Karl Marx's problem with creating a society that had everyone equal. An free-market economist on NPR talk of the nation said yesterday that capitalism would not work if not for greed. Greed inspires and drives the economy. Perhaps the Jesus economy is not the capitalist model or the free market model.
