Whats your favorite mondegreen?

Personally, I remember from high school someone thinking that Gin Blossom's song, Jealousy actually made a reference to KFC. The lyrics go like this...

Tomorrow we can drive around this town
And let the cops chase us around
The past is gone but something might be found
To take its place...hey KFC!

but its really jealousy...thats a mondegreen

    You know, my daughter Daisy is a genius. When she was about 4 years old, she loved to sing. Loud. I'm a rocker...so she sang loud, sometimes inappropriate approximations of the songs we listened to on the way to Kindercare.

    My favorite was from Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall.

    Actual lyrics: No dark sarcasm in the classroom.

    Daisy sang: No Dukes of Hazzard in the classroom.

    i thought the great jimmy buffet's "cheeseburger in paradise" said that he "stepped on a pop tart" instead of a pop top. in fact i just learned the truth a couple of years ago.

    my cousin thought that in the song "flashdance" that she sang "take your pants off" instead of "take your chances: and make it happen" gave the song a whole different meaning.

    his sister thought abra abra cadabra was written about me: abra abra cadebra.... i've never corrected her.

    There are so many . . . lately there's the hit praise and worship song "Days of Delilah".

    But one of my favorite Christmas traditions is to sing that romantic tune, Winter wonderland . . ."later on, we'll perspire, as we sit by the fire."
    Makes more sense than the real words.

    I believe that Buffet line is actually from "Margaritaville."

    I remembered one from my sister. The Beatles, Day Tripper.

    Actual lyrics: Day tripper, one way ticket, yeah.
    Mangled version: State trooper, giving tickets, yeah.
