New york, new york!

What is it about adversity that brings people together? This picture is the Riverchase UMC revel cast practicing in the dark. This is definitely the most fun these practices have been.

Me? Yeah. I'm singing one number so I'm hanging around. I'm not real cast - I'm comic relief. So just reading a book by anthony de mello. Remember my last post? The one about work vs. Love? This is what he just shared with me - "if the eye is unobstructed, the result is sight; if the ear is unobstructed, the result is hearing; if the nose is unobstructed, the result is the sense of smell; if the mouth is unobstructed, the result is a sense of taste; if the mind is unobstructed, the result is wisdom."

Maybe I need to just unobstructed my brain...

  1. The unobstructed mind is a good thing. I think it must be those moments when we feel like we are totally connected to the One, and not feeling the tug of the many.

Does de Mellow say "audience of one" to describe that relationship. We perform everyday for someone...sometimes ourselves. What if we just performed for Him. Took our cues from Him...heard his laughter, applause, etc... and not anyone elses?
