so a church member at RUMC here put a sticker on my car. Its a promise keeper's sticker and it says, "I [heart] MY WIFE" - Cheryl saw it and said, "aw! Thats cute!"
Well, Sunday night we came out from Bible Study and she said, "you can take that off your car if you want."
I pulled it off today. I. love. her.
Once my brother-in-law had a friend who bugged him to death about going to Promise Keepers. Steve declined gracefully time after time.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the persistent fellow finally called one day and said, "Steve, you can't turn me down this time, I have bought tickets for you and your pastor."
"Thanks," Steve answered. "I'll ask her if she can go."
Needless to say, they didn't go and the PK guy never asked again...
